Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, often known as Ashanti was born on 13 October on the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. Ashanti is an United States singer, songwriter, and actor. Ashanti started her career in the teen years, then was eventually signed to Murder Inc. Records by 2002. Ashanti made an appearance in Fat Joe's What's Luv? song and Ja Rule's Always On Time track both of which became massive hits. In the year she debuted her debut single What's Luv, at number two at the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at #1 with Foolish being her first single, she was the first female to reach this feat. Tina Douglas is the mother of Ashanti, and Ken Kaide Douglas happens to be the the father. She is the eldest and Kenashia Shia Douglas is her younger sister. The singer was as a character in the Christmas in the City film and also played Latasha on Army Wives. Her track Rock wit U was sampled by British artist Aitch for his song Baby on the 10th of March 2022.
